Redireccionamentos com htaccess

Hoje tentei isto mas correu mal.
Tentei um redireccionamento com htaccess usando redirect mas não fazia redirect para lado nenhum.
A ideia é fazer com que quando um utilizador quiser visitar o meu blog muiomuio.net e tentar chegar lá por http://muiomuio.net ele vá para http://www.muiomuio.net.
Mais tarde tentei novamente editando o htaccess um rewrite rule onde fazia
rewritecond %{http_host} ^muiomuio.net [nc]
rewriterule ^(.*)$ http://www.muiomuio.net/$1 [r=301,nc]
O problema aqui foi que quando tentava ver algum artigo era redireccionado para www.muiomuio.net/index.php se quisesse ver www.muiomuio.net/category/blogging/ não conseguia.
Alguém sabe como fazer isto funcionar bem?
