Falling Asleep and sleep stages

Falling asleep is the process of resting your body in full relaxation in order for it to start recovering it’s strength.
How ever you might fall asleep voluntarily or involuntarily or even being interrupted before the real sleep stage starts. This can be categorized as insomnia.

The sleep has 4 stages:

  1. Fall Asleep stage 1
    Stage one is when you start feeling sleepy. Usually lasts for about 5 minutes until you fall alseep. For the first two minutes you are easily awaken and your mind might brainstorm allot.
  2. Fall asleep stage 2
    This is the early stage of sleeping. In this stage you are sleeping but not deeply and you can be easily awake by touch, sound or even body movement. It is possible that you can have light dreams during this stage.
  3. Fall asleep stage 3
  4. During this phase of your sleep the stimulus mention during stage two might happen but in a more intense way making it harder to awake. It lasts for around 30 minutes before you reach stage 4 of sleep

  5. Fall asleep stage 4
  6. This is the more profound sleep. During this stage it’s complicated to awake a person since that person before awaking needs to go back to stage 3 and than stage 2. Your body begins to shot down it’s senses.

Sleep is very important for both mental and physical health of any living being. Making sure you have a good sleep without any disturbs will improve your life quality.
